In addition to offering a full and professional granulation service, Preston Plastics also offer a full compounding service in a wide range of polymers which include include LDPE, HDPE, MDPE, ABS, HIPS, and Polypropylene.

Procedure
We ensure that instructions and procedures for each consignment are clearly defined and adhered to, so that the end user receives a quality product that is both clean and contamination free. The finished product is well packed in either 25 KG bags or bulk bags, which are clearly marked with the product information and weight in the case of bulk bags.

Equipment
We have two modern compounding lines consisting of a 100mm and a 120mm, both equipped with automatic screen changing. They also have an array of pre- and post - processing filtration and metal detection systems, which enables us to produce a first class reprocessed compound. This product can then either be packed in 25KG sacks or in bulkbags, whichever the customer requires. Due to the modern plant together with the training our operators have received, this guarantees a clean and uniformed pellet. Quality control is ensured in our new modern onsite lab that enables us to carry out both pre and post quality control checks, which include MFI, and impact testing. In addition to a commission based Recompounding service, we also purchase, clean regrind or scrap, we then test the material to ascertain the MFI and other properties before it is recompounded ready for resale as a high quality end product that is suitable for use in many applications.
